Dear Friends and Family,
I have something exciting to share with you. Not only did I just graduate from high school, I have decided to take a gap year before attending Covenant college and go on an incredible international mission trip to Pakistan, Tanzania, and Australia. This trip has two purposes. The first reason is to put an emphasis on my spiritual formation and to better understand the gifting God has given me and what he would have me pursue in college and later in life. The second purpose is to broaden my horizons to see and contribute to some of the things God is doing around the world.
During my time in these three countries, I will work in a mission hospital in Pakistan, assist with leadership development among the Maasai in Tanzania and work with community radio in an aboriginal community in Australia.
One way I hope to contribute to these ministries is by doing some drone photography/video that they can use in their websites and communication with their donors.
How Can You Help?
I would first like to ask for your prayers as I plan for and set off on this mission trip. I ask that you would pray for my understanding and discernment of God’s purposes for me. I would also like to ask for prayers for the people that we will be serving, that we be able to share the love of Jesus with them.
Another way that you can help is through financial support. My parents are contributing $3,000 and I will earn $1,500 over the summer, so I will need to raise an additional $6,000 for travel, room and board, and other costs by the middle of August. I invite you to participate financially in this undertaking. Your gift will be an investment in me and an investment in Pakistan, Tanzania, and Australia. Since this is not a formal short-term missions program and there are four mission agencies involved, gifts will not be tax deductible.
