Imposter Posse- First Production!

Donation protected
Hello friends and family! A group of current students and recent graduates from UCSC are trying to self-produce our first original work outside of the university and in doing so are creating the theatre company Imposter Posse. With the current circumstances at hand, we are hoping to be able to put on this production in whatever capacity. However, we need your help to make our dreams a reality. We are asking for the support of you, our loving friends and family, to donate to our show so that we can get the ball rolling on renting out a performance space. This is one of the key things we need to solidify before we can go through the other necessary procedures, such as rehearsals and design for the show. Below are the mission statement and current team for Imposter Posse as well as a short description of the play we will be producing, I Wish You Hadn't Said That by Helen Everbach. We hope you are interested in our art and will help us get a jump start into our professional theater careers!

Imposter Posse- Mission Statement & Team
Imposter Posse is a group of current UCSC students and recent graduates who have all felt the anxiety over the difficulty of creating  theater in the “real world.” They decided to band together to overcome these negative thoughts and do what they went to school to do: create theater.

Imposter Posse gets its name from the  term “imposter syndrome, a psychological pattern in which someone doubt’s their accomplishments and believes they are going to be exposed as a “fraud.” We’ve found that many current theater students and recent graduates experience this feeling.  Imposter Posse wishes to cultivate an inclusive space to create the stories they are most passionate about sharing for artists regardless of their race, gender, and sexual orientation.

The current collaborative team consists of Amber Zepf, Ash Brown, Helen Everbach, Jackie McLaughlin, and Spenser Matubang. The whole collaborative team is made up of multi-disciplinary artists with an interest in the craft of theater as a whole.
