Hello,

I sponsor the International Student Organization of John Adams High School. We are currently seventy plus members strong of diverse beliefs, cultures, languages, and races. We are a student organization who promotes cultural awareness through service projects in the community. Futhermore, a large portion of our efforts also go towards promoting higher education access amoungst our students. Over the past three years we have conducted several college visits every semester in order to establish a "college pipeline".  During these visits students participate in mock classes, multicultural presentations, admissions/finanical aid assistance 101, and student panels.This has been quite helpful for our students; who many are the first in the family to possibly pursue  higher education.  We are preparing a student population for a more successful future. 

This past school year we were successul in graduating 60 first generation college students from Adams high school and sending them to college. Within those 60, we had 39 students who recived full tuition scholarships to universities across the state. This was an AMAZING accomplishment for the class of 2017. We look forward to what we can do this year. 

This upcoming school year we would like to take more trips to colleges in Michigan, Ohio, Illinios and other distant parts of Indiana. As a student organization we are responisble for raising all funds to benefit the organization. I created this gofundme page in order to raise funds for transportation cost to these colleges. Unfortunately, the costs of transportation for a large group of students like (ISO) has limited us from going to the places we would really like to visit. Our students would be beyond greatful for any donations you could provide our student organization.
