My Mom Susan turned 81 Feb 1st 2026 that week she took a tumble at home when she went to the hospital they discovered she has pneumonia and they did a ct scan she had to have a heart cath she went to a rehab and caught a secondary infection so she went back to the hospital she was in bad shape for 5 days of so massive c-aureus infection but rhe antibiotics seemed to be working for 8 days and we were chatting on Facebook messenger via text and thru regular text on Thursday Feb 26th we chatted in the morning but she told me she wasn't feeling well enough to chat the next day she messaged that she felt really bad I asked her in what way but she said she couldn't text .

She ended up coding she vomited blood and breathed some of it into her lungs her lungs being full of fluid and her copd didn't go well they had to put her on a ventilator And later a central line .

To keep her from pulling out her tubes she has been In a medical Coma on sedation.

I first posted this godundme to help me get to California but a kind soul in our local community Facebook group payed my ticket

I had a little money in bank and a close friend and there son brought me 1500 that I can pay back .

The issue I'm facing is the cost of everything in California the hotel I got close to the hospital in Ontario cost $311.

For 3 nights and the cab between hospital and hotel is $25 I can only afford to stay another 6 days if I do t go stay at my mom's house the cab on the other hand will be more .

I have alot of things to get done more than I can possibly get done in 6 days .

I have to get power of attorney for medical the social worker is getting 2 doctors to sign off on a letter of incapacitating I also have to do the same at her bank .

The lot manager had already informed me her lot rent is due it cover rent water and gas. Her electric bill is separate.

I'm asking for help to cover those bills until I have access to my mom's accounts to pay her space rent her electric bill

So I can stay long enough to get her home cleaned her cats need to be rehomed.

Because of Mom's inability to walk and her needing around the clock care she will not be able to go home and I know she doesn't want to spend the rest of her days on a ventilator unconscious but I still need to clean out house and living room and keep her rent payed for the next 2 to 3 months because it will honestly take me that long to clean her house I'm by myself here no one not even old friends to help me with the hard stuff .
