- Hi, my name is Dolores Minger. I am a widow with no children. I was a baby nurse for some 24 yrs plus. I was forced to go on disability after taking care of my husband Pete Minger during his battle with cancer, for those of you who knew him. He was a musician & didn't get a pension. I am in a great deal of pain & have breathing issues as well. Sleep apnea, for one. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, Peripheral Neuralgia & Chronic fatigue & RA. I got a Tempurpedic adjustable bed, which improved my apnea and sleeping for the first time. It helped my nerve pain & GERD. 20 yrs later, I am sleeping on a slant, causing my spine to decline, medically speaking. My shoulders are in terrible shape & may need surgery. So I need to replace that & I don't see how since I am on Social Security. That, I think, is still around $ 3,500.00. Still paying off 2 Caterac surgeries out of pocket. I am hard of hearing & need hearing aids. Checked into that & they start @ about $4,000.00. Since I couldn't afford that, I bought an amplifier I thought was a cheap hearing aid. The first time I used them, it blew my hearing in my right ear. Not only is it embarrassing, those of you who know me know how important music is to me. Just recently, I found mold in my closet & one of the leaders in my Church came & took care of it. That week my 20 yr old a/c unit died & the same leader gave me the name of an a/c company that came & fixed it for me. He said he didn't know how long it would last because it was so old. He said replacing it would be between $ 4,000.00 to $ 6,000.00. My water heater is 20 yrs as well and hasn't leaked yet. Probably over $1,500.00, or at least I was given that price. My total is about $ 13,000.00. I realize that a lot of you don't know me. I appreciate whatever help I get. I am thankful for you taking the time to read this. If you are unable to give or skeptical, please pray for me. I have fallen four times this year due to my footdrop. Very gratefull to those who choose to give.
