So, my family home in Smithfield, Savanna-la-Mar, the roof, fixtures, and furniture—we lost it all. We can't do it alone. It turns out that in our community, aside from a few damages here and there to other homes, ours was the worst hit along with a few others. I am asking assistance from well-wishers and anyone that has an interest and desire to assist to help us rebuild so our mother and family can have somewhere to live. I know we have all been affected, so this is a big ask. I believe we are stronger all together than one or two. My mother served at the hospital in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, working for the Ministry of Health for over 40+ years. She is without a home now. There’s no pride here, just sincerity and an honest plea for assistance. Whatever you’re able to assist with will be recognized and appreciated. Thank you.
