Hi, my name is Kathleen. I remember when my family suffered much damage from hurricane Sandy in 2012, and a few friends/family helped us with essentials so that we could organize our brains and move forward with cleaning, sorting and hiring contractors. Now it’s my turn to help families and friends suffering from hurricane Ian in southwest Florida. Quite a few people have asked how they can help those directly affected by the storm without donating to large fundraising organizations. Here, donations will be DIRECTLY provided to several families in Venice East and Cape Coral to kick-start repairing, cleaning and hiring contractors. Mostly, they are doing everything themselves at this crucial time. Some of these homeowners are elderly, alone and need their carpets ripped out just to begin with; one is ill with cancer and is navigating health care while emptying his flooded house. Residents are waiting in line for gasoline for 8 hours or more. Home insurance does not cover many of the damages delivered from this brutal hurricane, such as flood, personal items and downed trees. You may not know me, but you can probably find me…I’m a realtor licensed in NJ & FL….please know that 100% of your donation will go directly to the families!
