Jonathan Hunter is a 22 year old energetic, vibrant, charismatic, intelligent, caring, giving, loving, brother and son! He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with his associates degree in liberal arts and is currently pursuing his bachelors in sociology with a minor in organizational leadership! He also serves as a diversity peer mentor and a research assistant at University of Cincinnati. Jonathan was recently on vacation in California where his life was changed as well as each one of ours! This was his first real trip and his first time ever on a plane. Jonathan was in day two of his California vacation playing basketball along a California beach when suddenly he went into cardiac arrest. His heart stopped and his breathing followed. Due to not having blood and oxygen flowing to his brain before the ambulance arrived and was able to revive him. He now has brain damage in the areas of memory, concentration and personality. He is currently unresponsive but is making progress day by day. It's hard seeing my youngest brother in this state. He is so young with a bright future ahead of him. My entire immediate family came out to be by his side during this troubling time. We have good faith that God will heal him miraculously! Unfortunately we are in one of the most expensive; but also fortunate to be in the best hospitals in America called Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverley Hills. We are asking for prayers and donations. We need help to cover medical expenses and anything else we may need while we are out here with him. We are so far away from our home in Cincinnati. It's been very expensive; we are running out of resources and don't know what to do. It's been hard to adjust and maintain considering the circumstances. We need the help and support of not only the people in Califonia but our Cincinnati family back home. I pray you all find it in your hearts to donate to our cause. Thank you and God bless!!
