HELP US ESTABLISH A 501(c)(3) NONPROFIT TO RESCUE JACKSONVILLE'S STRAY & FERAL CATS – ALL DONATIONS WILL COVER 501(c)(3) APPLICATION AND INCORPORATION COSTS!

For the past 2½ years, my fellow volunteers and I have dedicated our time and personal resources to caring for Jacksonville's stray and feral cat colonies. Our efforts include trap-neuter-return (TNR), daily feeding, medical care, and rehoming whenever possible. Currently, all costs are covered solely by volunteers and donations made through social media under the name Hungry Whiskers.

Forming an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Florida will allow us to significantly expand our rescue efforts. With nonprofit status, we can apply for grants, receive tax-deductible donations from individuals and businesses, and create a more sustainable future for these vulnerable animals. This will not only help the cats who have no homes through no fault of their own but will also provide a vital service to our community by controlling the stray population.

While we are handling the application process ourselves to keep costs low, the total expense to establish the 501(c)(3) will exceed $1,000. Every dollar donated goes directly toward covering these filing fees—bringing us one step closer to making Hungry Whiskers an official nonprofit rescue.
