We, the members of the Bromley Three Faiths Group, wholeheartedly welcome the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and hope it leads to a lasting peace. For civilians most adversely impacted by the war however, there is still a long road ahead to recovery.
Gaza is as much in need of food and humanitarian aid today as it was yesterday.
Jews, Christians and Muslims are each called to act in the face of injustice:
- To save their souls from death, and to sustain them in hunger (Psalm 33:18)
- To give food in times of famine[…]and—above all—to be one of those who have faith and urge each other to perseverance and urge each other to compassion (Al-Balad 90:14-17)
To that end, the Bromley Three Faiths Group are raising money for the Disaster Emergency Committee(DEC). Help us help those in Gaza!
Anything that you may be able to contribute to this cause would be appreciated.
DEC, and it’s partners on the ground, are one of the few organizations currently distributing food in Gaza to those most in need. You can find out more about the current situation in Gaza and how the DEC is helping HERE.
