After 3 years of cart-pulling-dog-slinging fun, Hot Dog Mike owner, Mike Juiliano, has found a storefront in Downtown
Little Rock Arkansas that he is looking to call home!
The most consistent operation challenges of the current Hot Dog Mike model are weather, location (population, size, parking, traffic, visibility and zoning restrictions) hours of daylight, city zoning and ordinances, needing to rely on other businesses to be in business, workspace and safety. With a small take-out and delivery based storefront these operational challenges can be overcome allowing Hot Dog Mike to be open come rain, heat, wind or dark. He is also planning to offer downtown delivery to local businesses and homes. "¨

In keeping the idea of what people love most about his cart, Hot Dog Mike's storefront will be designed around the idea of bringing the cart indoors. Keeping it simple, fun and face-to-face is a must. Plans consist of a low counter area to take orders and an open workspace area. "We want to build relationships not boundaries." says Juiliano.
The menu will consist of several of Hot Dog Mike's everyday favorite options and featured specials that are hard to do on the cart and open up more opportunity for using local products. The storefront will expand its businesses catering capacity and Hot Dog Mike and his cart(s) will still be available for catering and appearances.

The philanthropic and community-based focus of Hot Dog Mike will continue in greater ability as Juiliano intends to donate a portion of the sale of each hot dog to helping others, plan larger fundraising efforts and offer pay-what-you can options.
