For Hosly’s Life powerline cables accident

He was resting on the balcony of the third floor of a place he was staying at in the Torices neighborhood of Cartagena, Colombia when three high-voltage power lines, which are poorly located and dangerously close to the balconies of the buildings, sparked and an electrical discharge struck him, burning 63% of his body. This accident left him in critical condition, and Hosly is currently fighting for his life at the Reina Catalina clinic in Barranquilla, Colombia at the Baranoa branch. His condition is serious; he remains in an induced coma and is intubated, while doctors fight for his recovery. Hosly is a 19-year-old with many dreams to fulfill. His greatest wish is to learn English and move forward for his family. He is a person full of joy and love, very much loved by his friends, family, and acquaintances, who describe him as someone always willing to offer support and share moments of happiness. His life, full of projects and goals, is now threatened by this tragedy, but he does not give up. In the same area, other similar incidents have occurred due to the dangerous high-voltage cables that are poorly installed and pass dangerously close to balconies and homes. We demand that pressure be placed on the police, the electricity company Afinia, and the local government to make the necessary changes to the electrical grid in the area, to prevent more lives from being affected by this same problem. Hosly urgently needs several surgeries that are crucial for his well-being, and each intervention will be another step toward his long and difficult recovery. En ese momento, tres líneas de alta tensión, que se encuentran mal ubicadas y muy cerca de los balcones de las viviendas, hicieron chispa y una descarga eléctrica le impactó, quemándole el 63% de su cuerpo. Este accidente lo dejó en estado crítico y, actualmente, Hosly se encuentra luchando por su vida en la clínica Reina Catalina, en Barranquilla, en la sede de Baranoa. Su situación es grave; sigue en coma inducido y entubado, mientras los médicos luchan por su recuperación. Hosly es un joven de solo 19 años, con muchos sueños por cumplir. Su mayor anhelo es aprender inglés y salir adelante por su familia. Es una persona llena de alegría y amor, muy querido por sus amigos, amigas y familiares, quienes lo describen como un ser siempre dispuesto a brindar su apoyo y compartir momentos de felicidad.
