Operation: Hope for Puerto Rico

Dear Friend,

My name is Edgar Enrique Martinez, and I am a Life Scout with Troop 10. We are based out of St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Johns Creek, GA.

As a Native Puerto Rican, I have seen the destruction and despair Hurricane Maria caused when she wreaked havoc on my family and friends, as well as our beautiful Island. That is why I have made my Eagle Scout Project to bring some help and hope to some of the 3.4 million US citizens that call Puerto Rico (PR) home.

With the support of World Hope International (WHI), based in Guaynabo, PR, I will make and distribute at least 250 Care Packages. The estimated cost per package is $35.00 (USD). These packages will carry basic toiletries and personal items for a family to cover their basic needs during these trying times.

If there is another way you feel that you can help us, please don’t hesitate to reach out. This project can only be done if everyone lends a hand.  Remember everything you do makes a big difference.

Thank you for your support!

Yours in Scouting,

Edgar E. Martinez
