Cassidy received a kidney from her dad a couple years ago, and that has thankfully done well. However, her severe seizures returned for the third time in the early morning of December 20, 2014, and she has been in ICU at Primary Children's Medical Center since then (she just moved to the Neuroscience Trauma Unit on January 14th, so she is making some progress). She is a fighter, and we are so thankful that she is still with us! We have seen many, many miracles!!!
Cassidy has a first and a second cousin who have died from these seizures, and other extended family members who have the same disease, so this is a very scary situation for her family. Her parents have constantly stayed by her side, and it has been a long road that is not over yet! Her last hospitalization was 2 months long!
We would like to raise some money for Cassidy and her family to help cover the expenses involved with her care, the travel to and from the hospital, and income lost while her parents are with her. Her family has been so blessed by the faith and prayers and love shown to them so far! If you can spare anything to help, we appreciate it so much. Thank you!
