Hope for Haitians!

The Dali Lama has a GREAT quote " Good things come to those who believe, better things come to those who are patient, and the best things come to those that don't give up.  My extended Haitian family comes to mind immediately when I read this.  This summer I hope to provide some hope. My goal is to raise $1500 by June 17th. Here is my story.
     My name is Jennifer Roth. I am a proud wife, and the mother of two college-aged children as well as “adopted” mom and teacher-mentor to the Cap-Haitien, Haiti community. I teach English as a second language to elementary-age children, and have a passion for providing quality education to those in need. I volunteer with Streethearts Haiti, www.streetheartshaiti.org , a non-profit for street children, as well as for P4H Global, www.p4hglobal.org , a non-profit that provides educational development for Haitian teachers. 
     Haiti is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. The needs in the country are dire, but my focus is on education and immediate health needs for local families. 
     Funds will be used to help support the remediation and enrichment opportunities for children, educational scholarships for books and school registration fees as well as for doctor visits and medicine to local families that I have grown to love over the past 6 years.
