Hi Pet lovers.

My name is Snug, short for Snuggles. I am 11, and I know I have longevity and quality of life ahead of me and love to give. I was found as a puppy on the side of Interstate 95 and taken to Miami-Dade Animal Services. No one would adopt me because I already had a litter of puppies I never got to take care of after they were taken from me, and I was dumped on that scary freeway, also because I had an acute case of Heart Worm. Miami Dade Animal Services is a “kill-shelter.” On the day I was to be euthanized, The Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc (IMPS) found my parents. I had to wait a year to be able to frolic and play while my heartworm microfilaria was treated. But then, what a wonderful life I have been living and helping my dads with anxiety and depression. It hasn’t been without some health events. I was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease in 2018. After three nights in the ICU, I got to go home. I had to take this chemotherapy drug called Mitotane to keep me well. It worked, but now I have pancreatitis, which my dad keeps under control by making delicious low-fat meals for me.

I had surgery on September 16th. Would you please send me good vibes and prayers? I am determined to have a pleasant and happy life. My Dad ask that you help him with these current expenses since my pet insurance company dropped me when I was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease. Now, I have a 2.75-inch mass in my liver. One surgeon said it was not resectable, so my dad took me to Miami Veterinary Services, Inc. To get a second Ultrasound and a CT scan. Dr. Larin tried  remove it The CT Scan shows it could be benign so we had to try. After the CT Scan, I got very stressed out, and my cortisol levels peaked, and having the anesthesia did not help. I had a flair-up of pancreatitis, which had me back in the ICU for three days. But, now I am my happy self again. I like to follow my dads everywhere and get under their feet to annoy them, but I am just excited. There are some of my favorite pictures below.
