Hoops 4 Hope

Hello, everyone, my name is Cristina Stivala and I am 16 years old. In 2 weeks I will be going to Zimbabwe for almost 3 weeks for a school trip and will be working with a charity called Hoops 4 Hope. Hoops 4 Hope (H4H)  is committed to providing children and young adults in challenging environments with a safe, nurturing place where they can develop more than just skills for the playing field: they can develop Skills 4 Life and grow up to be healthy, influential, contributing members of their communities. The H4H Skills for Life program focuses on dealing with gender issues, violence, HIV, and building leadership. As a not-for-profit organization, H4H partners with local schools, shelters, and community organizations in Zimbabwe and South Africa to offer youth development services proven to improve children’s lives in a holistic and safe environment. This has a ripple effect of positive change that helps influence friends, families and communities. All the money raised will go straight to the charity I will be working with in Harare, Zimbabwe. The funds can be used to buy sports equipment, clothes, shoes, school supplies, and can even be used to rebuild basketball courts and playgrounds. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will make a difference!
