It is with heavy hearts that we share that Ron has sadly passed away. We are deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support that so many have shown during this difficult time.

I’m writing this on behalf of my bonus parents, Ron & Lisa, to ask for help for Ron.

Dad had been in and out of the hospital multiple times as doctors worked tirelessly to find out what was making him so sick. Each visit brought more uncertainty, fear, and hope that the next test or treatment would bring answers. Eventually, the doctors discovered that open-heart surgery was necessary.

On Oct. 29, 2025, our world was turned upside down. Dad had to undergo open-heart surgery — a terrifying moment for our family but one we faced with hope and faith that he would come through. The surgery itself was a success, but since then, Dad has faced a series of unexpected complications that have made his recovery much harder than anyone anticipated.

He is currently in the ICU, fighting every single day to get stronger. The doctors have told us he will likely be there for several weeks, and even after he leaves the ICU, he will need to stay in the hospital for quite some time to continue his recovery and rehabilitation.

Dad has always been the rock of our family — a man who gives everything he has to take care of others. He’s worked tirelessly to support us, never complaining, always putting our needs before his own. Seeing him in this condition, unable to do the things he loves or provide for his family like he always has, has been heartbreaking.

Because Dad is the sole income earner in our home, this situation has placed a huge financial strain on my mom. On top of the emotional toll, she’s now faced with mounting medical bills, daily hospital trips, and unexpected expenses, all while trying to stay strong for Dad and for our family.

We’re doing everything we can to focus on Dad’s healing, but the financial pressure is overwhelming. That’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe — to ask for help from our community, friends, and anyone who feels moved to lend a hand.
