My name is Jonathan Rios. I am the son of Mildred Hilerio. On Monday, July 25th, 2025, Mom was admitted to I.C.U after being diagnosed with Acute hypernatremia aka severe dehydration and many other medical issues that came soon after during her hospital stay during the past few weeks.
On Sunday, August 17th, 2025...My Beautiful Mother Mildred Hilerio Passed Away of Pneumonia. She was 80 Years Young. I'm currently in shock and numb all over and lost. I honestly don't know what to do and what to say. There are no words to describe how I'm feeling right now. Getting that phone call tonight from Woodhull Hospital was unexpected as I thought she was going to pull through, but I guess god had other plans for her. She is no longer in pain and now in the hands of GOD.
I loved Her So Much and I miss her so much....I'm grateful that she was my mother for 37 years..... She always taught me to be myself and to do the right thing. She was the best mother in the world. And for those who knew her, you were lucky. There will never be another one like her.
I have no idea what the future holds for me which frightens me...but my hope and prayer is that mom is looking down at me and will guide me through this somehow in some way.
Myself and my family are currently in the process of making arrangements for my mom and it come to the point where we will need financial assistant when it comes to services and burial for my mom. This is very difficult and heartbreaking time for myself and my family and any support you can offer, no matter the amount will help us honor my beloved mom.
Its would be greatly appreciate to get a helping hand from anyone during this terrible time.
Cherish the moments you have with your mom, dad and family. Spend time with them, enjoy the moments you've had with them. Life is short and it can throw curveballs at you like it has with me. Because you never know, your mom and dad can be alive and healthy today and the next day, they could be ill or pass away.
Goodnight, Mom. Rest In Peace. I love you
God Bless You All...
Love, Jonathan Rios
