Donation protected
Dear friends, family and fans,
Our beloved Chuck Warda was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. He was immediately given every possible top-notch treatment, but alas, the fight is over. He died early yesterday with friends and family surrounding him. It is from a deep place of sorrow that we humbly ask for your support.
Chuck Warda was known for his big heart and loving attitude about life. He was a beacon in the Portland music scene with his mind-blowing guitar solos and presence in bands from coast to coast. Everyone who watched Chuck perform in Life in Wartime, Hamasha, Dirt Twirlers and other noteworthy bands knew that he was a virtuoso who could instantly charm any audience.
What's needed:
Kellie Raydon was with Chuck for almost a decade, and she rose to the occasion by helping him gain access to the best doctors and medical treatments that Portland offers. She left no stone unturned since his diagnosis because she loved him dearly, as did I. We are asking for whatever support you can give to help her recoup the medical expenses not covered by insurance, the income from lost work, and the funds needed to give Chuck the celebration of life event he deserves from all of us.
Chuck was an icon who mentored other musicians and supported the music community across the globe. He was a loving friend, brother, son and partner. We are deeply grateful for whatever support you can give. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring about him as we have for so many years.
