Honoring Pedro

Pedro Parada was a beloved husband, dedicated father to 3 kids, a faithful friend and so much more.

Pedro worked as a flooring installer for America’s Floor Source for many years. Each and every employee at AFS who had the pleasure of  working with him would say that it was an honor to work with such a hard-working, loyal, and honest person. He would always go above and beyond. No matter what time of day or day of the week it was, or how many obstacles he had to overcome, Pedro always managed to find a way to get the job done! And regardless of how bad the situation was,  he always did it with a smile on his face. He was truly the best of the best! 

During this time of COVID-19, Pedro was in EL Salvador but was expected back in the US once the pandemic subsided. His wife, two sons, and daughter were all anxiously awaiting his return. Unfortunately, Pedro was involved in a tragic accident and will never make it back home.

His wife, Nancy, is now left with just her and her children and is also faced with the burden of having to find work to support her family, as Pedro was the sole provider. Nancy did often work with Pedro, and is still installing along with one of their sons, but the responsibility of the other two kids limits her availability tremendously.  Being a single mother is an extraordinary task under normal circumstances, and it may be nearly impossible to find work during these unprecedented times. 

While no amount of money will ease the pain of their loss, we at AFS would like to honor his memory as well as help minimize some of the financial stress of the family during this tragic time.

Pedro Parada era un esposo amado, un padre dedicado a tres hijos, un amigo fiel, y mucho más. 

Pedro trabajó como instalador de pisos por AFS por muchos años. Todos los empleados que tuvieron el placer de trabajar con él dirían que fue un honor trabajar con una persona trabajadora, leal, y honesta. No importa cuántos obstáculos tuvo que superar, Pedro siempre logró encontrar una manera de hacer el trabajo y siempre con una sonrisa. 

Durante este tiempo de COVID-19, Pedro estaba en El Salvador, pero se esperaba que regresara a los Estados Unidos una vez que la pandemia remitiera. Su esposa, y hijos estaban esperando su regreso. Pero Pedro estuvo involucrado en un accidente muy trágico y nunca volverá a su casa.

Su esposa, Nancy, ahora se queda con sus tres hijos y también se enfrenta a la carga de tener que encontrar trabajo para mantener a su familia. En circunstancias normales, ser madre soltera es una tarea extraordinaria y puede ser casi imposible encontrar trabajo en estos tiempos. 

Aunque ninguna cantidad de dinero aliviará el dolor de su pérdida, nos gustaría honrar su memoria y ayudar a su familia.
