Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to read my story. I’m sorry to bother you—I know everyone has their own struggles, and asking for help is not easy for me.

I am a disabled homeless veteran who has been homeless for over a year now, and I’ve been struggling with mental health issues since I was a teenager. I am currently awaiting assistance from SSVF and the VA, but the process has been taking a long time. I'm on the verge of getting a hudvash voucher and having my life back..

Despite the worst year of my life, one good thing did happen: I met a German girl in August, and I fell in love with her almost instantly. She has been by far the best thing that happened to me this year and has given me hope. I want to make sure that if I get an apartment and get my life back together, she’s in my life and we can team up to build a future together—maybe even start a family.

Right now, I am trying to get to Denver by tonight or tomorrow morning so I can propose to her and start a new chapter in my life. I am not asking for help with housing, as I am already working on that through other channels. What I need most is support to make this important step for my future and mental health. Being alone has been incredibly hard, and this opportunity means everything to me.

Please help my dream come true. I promise you that I have tried everything—working, riding my bike hundreds of miles, donating plasma, and taking every opportunity I could find. My new job didn’t provide the hours I was promised, and now I am out of options. I am desperate and reaching out for help through this fundraiser. Any support would mean the world and help me take this step toward a brighter future.
