My story ....

A lot of people were trapped in domestic violence during COVID. I am one of them. Now that I'm away from my abuser I have started to rebuild. Although things are not as easy to fix as it would seem.

I am sober and not legally in trouble. Without family support or strong close friends it is nearly impossible to make progress and improve my situation. It leaves me in a perpetual state of distress. I have had some help along the way, however it is costly living homeless and some bad people have taken it upon themselves to rob me also. This of course is always a set back as well.

I am on several waiting lists to be housed in various structured programs that are available. However, it has been months that I've been waiting at this time and it's very cold now.

I've been homeless this go around since 2020. This has had devastating effects on me and my sons life. We both have been traumatized and he has been placed with extended family to be safe. I hope to better myself and regain footing to be in his life again asap. Every effort I make is to be reunited with my son.

I know a lot of people are in hardship as well. I pray they all have family that helps them.

Immediate relief will be used for food and basic needs.
