Christmas Eve, a severe storm hit Wrightwood and left our home without power, flooded our basement, and caused damage we weren’t prepared for.
Wrightwood was hit harder than anywhere else in the Southland. Trees were knocked over, cars crashed, and thousands lost power. Because last year’s 56,000-acre Bridge Fire left the terrain vulnerable, the heavy rain had nowhere to go.
We lost power on Christmas Eve for three full days. With no electricity, all the food in our refrigerator and freezer spoiled and had to be thrown away.
At the same time, water entered our home. Our basement flooded, and the ceiling began leaking. What should have been a quiet holiday turned into damage control and uncertainty.
We’re asking for help to replace essential groceries and begin cleanup and basic repairs from the storm. Any amount helps. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means more than you know. Thank you for helping us get through something completely out of our control.
