Help Jon Bartlett's family with funeral and bills

Hello, my name is Christopher Bartlett. I am Jon's son. Some of you may remember me as a caddy for local ACBL sectionals and regionals or from running around the Ace of Clubs by the old Valley theatre in Beaverton whilst my dad was playing or teaching Bridge or trying to carry his golf clubs around Progress Downs or Eastmoreland Golf Course. Some of you may know my son, CJ. With a heavy heart and much grief I am writing this fundraiser for help with the end of life expenses, burial/cremation costs, funeral or celebration of life, and other things such as paying off the lease to his apartment, hiring movers to relocate furniture and drop off donations, rental of storage unit, paying outstanding bills and other fees that occur when someone passes. I never knew all the things that would come up and its overwhelming. We are working on finding a will and contacting lawyers and financial institutions about any sums of money that may or may not be out there, that takes time and we would like to raise enough to give him a proper send off and take care of the aforementioned things that are popping up daily. I started at 10k because I had to chose a number, but I really have no idea what will be needed in the end. I cannot afford to pay for these, by myself so hopefully you are reading this and are moved to donate and alleviate some of the stress so I can deal with his passing and help my son and mother with their emotional needs. My mother was recently diagnosed with cancer and broke her wrist during the ice storm. She is getting ready for surgery and has been on a leave of absence from her job, as well. When it rains, it pours. God help us, we will make it through this difficult time. We have been trying to contact his friends and family, please if anyone gets this and can forward it to his other friends, it would be much appreciated. I dont know if I am doing this correctly and feels embarrassing to have to ask for help, however I have no other options. Any donations no matter the size will be greatly appreciated and used only for taking care of my fathers bills, expenses, and funeral. Any monies left over will be donated in my fathers name to a legitimate charity here in Portland to help young children that are experiencing homelessness. My Dad was a very simple man that loved to work developing computer software and programs that ran distribution centers for United Grocers and eventually Unified Western Grocers. When he wasnt working he was playing bridge or golf and helping my mother raise kids, grandkids, foster children, and neighborhood kids that would be around the house. While he worked hard, he played hard. He travelled for tournaments and met and befriended a lot of really nice people. His friends know who they are and I hope to see you at the Celebration of Life that I am trying to put together. Please be patient I have never done anything like this and I hope this reaches the right friends and we can all pitch in to do this right and with respect.
