Hindu Temple Central Queensland (HTCQ) – Nav Graha Shrine Project
Hindu Temple Central Queensland (HTCQ) was established in 2019 in Rockhampton, a regional area of Central Queensland, through the generous donations of our local community. In March 2024, the temple celebrated its deities' Pran Pratishta (consecration), marking a significant spiritual milestone.
Our Next Project: Nav Graha Shrine
As part of the next stage of development, we are planning to build a Nav Graha Shrine, which will feature black stone vigrahas of:
☀️ Surya (Sun)
Chandra (Moon)
Mangala (Mars)
Budha (Mercury)
Brihaspati (Jupiter)
Shukra (Venus)
Shani (Saturn)
Rahu (North Node of the Moon)
Ketu (South Node of the Moon)
Navgraha and Sun Shrine is also of special significance here because Tropic of Capricorn passes through Rockhampton .
Additionally, the shrine will include Dakshinamoorthy, Kal Bhairav, and Lord Ganesh.
Additional Temple Enhancements:
✅ Construct a 20m x 7.5m protective outdoor shed (as shown in the sketch).
✅ Extend the front awning near the temple entrance.
✅ Install brass railings in front of the deities (as per the railing line diagram).
✅ Set up brass balusters with a brass chain to help maintain an orderly queue in the central temple hall.
The local Hindu community and their loved ones have generously supported this sacred project, and we deeply appreciate their contributions.
We Need Your Support!
To begin construction, we need to raise another $15,000. Every donation, big or small, is valuable and will help bring this auspicious vision to life. Please contribute and share this message with family and friends. You can also make an anonymous donation.
May God bless you all for your support and devotion!
