Hello and welcome to our GoFundMe page for our third-year short film High Society. If you contribute to this will help us get the necessary funds to be able to film the project. The funds will be used to help with the production design of the film. It will also help with getting the cast and crew through the scheduled 5-6 day shoot we are planning on doing. The funds will also help with many more things that we will be showing you in the future. We will need these funds by the end of March in order for us to be able to have all the equipment needed for our shoot in April. If you do decide to donate to our film we would be so grateful and it would help us further our education in film.


Story

Film Logline:
After Leah overdoses on cocaine provided by want-to-be gangster Gary, her star-crossed buzzer, Ruby, must now deal with the aftermath choosing revenge to handle with her grief.


Due to Covid-19, we are currently due to shoot in march 2021 but that could very well fluctuate and depends on the government restrictions. But we do have plans and we hope for the best.

Plan A 5th March - 22nd March This Plan has been cancelled we are now moving on to Plan B

Plan B 26th March – 12th April This is our current plan to be shooting. This will on depend on the government guidelines.

Plan C 12th April – 28th April this is the last possible dates that we have so anything later we cant do this project.

Events Planned

·         Virtual screening: We will investigate potentially getting permission for previous/current student to screen their film on Twitch and ask for donations.

·         Virtual raffle: We will be using a virtual website to host the raffle where people will pay to buy tickets to win prizes. 

·         Virtual Quiz: Quiz with an entrance fee

Events Timeline

·         15th February – 26th March: Fundraising through our website and GoFundMe

·         25th of February – 7th March: On a date during this week, we will have our raffle.

·         8th -14th March – We will have a call where we will have our quiz.

·         15th – 26th March – We will have our Virtual Screening.


Proposed use of funds donated


·         Transport: €400

·         Fuel: €100

·         Catering: €1000 (Average of €200 per day. Broken down to €15 to each cast and crew member. With the average of 13/14 cast and crew per day on set for a 5-day shoot. We would give each cast and crew member a sum of money for the number of days they will be working i.e. if a cast member is there for 5 days, we will give them €75 to fund their food costs for the shoot)

If we have money left over at the end of production, we plan to donate the money to Saoirse (https://www.saoirse.ie/home.html). As we feel that this matches our principles and would hopefully help people struggling with similar things that our main character Leah is going through.


We have increased the goal to €2500 that money will go towards production design and additional film equipment.
