Herlinda's Herd

As some of you may know, Herlinda was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in 2016.  If you knew Herlinda, you knew she was a warrior and never gave up hope.  True to her character,  she fought courageously every step of the way in order to beat this aggressive form of cancer.  Beginning in 2016, she endured a major surgery in an effort to remove the cancer from her body.  Unfortunately  with pancreatic cancer, it often comes back with a fury.  In Herlinda's case, this would prove to be true.  Despite several rounds of radiation and chemotherapy  the cancer had spread to her liver.  Over the past several weeks Herlinda's health deteriorated and she was placed on Hospice.  On 4/5/17 Herlinda passed away at home surrounded by her wife, family, and friends. 

Money collected from this campaign will help ease the financial burdens brought on by this horrible disease and  to fund Herlinda's Celebration of Life ceremony.
