Elajia Whitley was just 21 years old — full of promise, compassion, and dreams for her future. She worked as a phlebotomist and was in college studying to become a surgical technician. Helping others wasn’t just her career goal — it was who she was at her core.
Elajia had a gentle heart and a smile that could light up any room. She cared deeply for her family, friends, little children, and patients, and she always went out of her way to lift others up.
Elajia, pronounced (Ee-lay-jah), was violently shot to death at her workplace. Her passing has left an emptiness that words can’t fill, but her memory continues to inspire love and strength in everyone who knew her.
Our family is raising funds to honor Elajia’s life, help cover funeral and memorial expenses, and give her the farewell she truly deserves. Your kindness — through donations, prayers, and sharing her story — means more than we can ever express.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps ease the financial burden during this devastating time. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page or keeping our family in your prayers.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, kindness, and support as we celebrate Elajia Johnae’s life and legacy.
As Elajia would say..
