We're the Henry Family of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Our family has been affected by Hurricane Melissa which rocked the island in late October 2025. All of our family members across the island have been accounted for and are safe but as they assess the damage, there is a lot to be done.

We have 2 family homes in St. Elizabeth (Thornton & New Market) where the roofs have been blown away, leaving everything exposed to the elements. My sister and niece are currently in Montego Bay waiting for the roads to clear so they can at least lay eyes on our parents as they clean up. Some of my cousins have traveled to Kingston for resources and a clear way to communicate. While everyone is safe, the storm has traumatized them in various ways. We've lost much of what makes a home secure. Currently there is no internet access and minimal communication with our family, (only when they gain access do they communicate.)

The state-side Henry family wanted to come together to create a fund to assist in cleanup, repair, and eventually rebuild.
