Coming Together for Henry Arevalo and his Sons
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Henry and I have worked together these past 5 years at Creative Circle. I have come to know him as a consummate professional and teammate, fun loving, greatly skilled, and always wanting to learn more. He embraces everything he does with passion, skill and caring. His sense of humor and joy for life makes me smile every time I see him. To know Henry is to like Henry! I know my life has certainly been enriched with Henry in it, and I know that’s true for anybody that has had the privilege to spend time with him. He is such a good guy.
Henry has two amazing sons, Ilan (18) and Nicholas (21). I’ve met them both and got to visit with Ilan on my latest visit. Ilan looks like a much younger version of Henry and has that same caring and playful light in his eyes. They both already take after their dad in that they are genuinely kind and thoughtful young men.
When I saw Henry on my visit, we talked about many things, and of course how proud he is of his two sons. Henry told me that he wanted to instill in them the idea to be of service to others, even if all you could do was simply to put your hand on someone’s shoulder who was troubled.
As you probably know, Henry is bravely facing advanced cancer. It has been a difficult journey, and he has recently entered the final chapter of his life with all the associated challenges. He tires easily now, but Henry's easy friendliness, authentic humanity and gracious spirit still shine through and inspire, as he continues to be showered with meaningful visits and love from those most dear to him. Along with other family members and his girlfriend, Henry’s sons are by his side and caring for their dad everyday, so that he can spend all his remaining time with them at his own home.
Henry is now in hospice care at home. On top of all the emotional challenges they face, I know he will so miss being around to watch over and enjoy seeing his two sons continue on their own life journeys. He also confided that he wished he had more time so he could help them along their way. Henry and his family are facing many current and future financial challenges brought about from his illness. Both his sons are hardworking, smart and really wonderful young people that deserve some help.
Although Henry would always be there to help anyone, he would never think to ask anything for himself, so I asked Henry to allow me the honor to offer the first hand on his shoulder to help him out.
I’m reaching out to ask if you can lend a hand to Henry and his family and offer financial assistance in support of Henry Arevalo and his two sons, Ilan (18) and Nicholas (21). They could really use some help!
Henry, we love you, and thanks for making this world a better place!
