Doctors Appointment Update 12-04-2025

Hi all wanted to reach out and say thank you for all the love and support you have given us unfortunately Dave is still recovering from the second emergency surgery that was done on October 5th

We had a follow up appointment for him today and the doctor said that it is healing slowly but its healing he does not plan on releasing Dave back to work until the beginning of January of 2026 so for now we are continuing to live off of one income ... we were denied food assistance and any assistance that is available .... this holiday is going to be a tough one for us please keep us in your prayers and thoughts .

Doctors Appointment Update

11-13-2025

Well friends and family things have been tough for Dave and are family we have applied for everything we can possibly think of and we just keep getting turned down or have not heard a answer yet .

Dave was denied unemployment because he is unable to work so he apparently does not qualify for it at the moment We did appeal the decision but have not heard anything ... We had his doctor checkup today and things are not going as good as we would like them too .... Dave foot is healing but is not healed yet the doctor said it is taking longer because of Daves diabetes and neuropathy is working against the healing process .... on that note we will continue to fight thru this one day at a time .... the best we can my income is the only thing we have coming in for now and its tough if you can and have it in your heart please help us out we appreciate everything and of course all the prayers and love .... this has been a tough road .

Doctor Appointment Update

10-24-2025

Dave was seen by his surgeon this afternoon his wound is a little irritated, but he said the healing looks good so far . Due to the irritation Dave was put on antibiotics just to be safe . He has about 6 to 8 more weeks to go for healing We have been blown away by all the love and prayers and donations these past few months and we are truly grateful for it all we still have a long road to go but one day at a time keep the prayers and love coming for our family .... love the Nelsons

Update 10-16-2025

Well I have no words this week daves healing is going well but his job declined his medicial leave and let him go talk about kick a man while he is down we just cant catch a break I am working as much as i can but i can not cover everything we have a mortgage payment due october 30th and since we are on a trial plan with them for the first surgrey that dave had in august if we do not make our payment of $1132.00 by the 30th it will then default our mortgage and im not sure what happens from there if you can find it in your heart to help us please help .... We did apply for unemployment but that takes a while to get accepted .... We go back to the doctor next friday for another check up and go from there ....

10-05-2025

Well things took a turn for the worse these past couple weeks Dave got another infection in the rest of the toe which ended up making him very sick to the point of fever chills body aces and a flaming red toe so i brought him in as directed and they took x-rays blood work and admitted him to the hospital last night they did a few iv antibiotics thru out the we met with his team of providers and it was decided in order to give Dave some relief from pain and be able to move on they needed to take the rest of his toe this morning surgery went well and he is resting peacefully we are both praying that this recovery will go way better with no more complications on that note he will be out of work for at least 6 weeks I have picked up a part time job on top of my full time job to bring in more income while he is out recovering but that will not be enough so if you have a extra buck or two and want to help out we appreciate it more then you know .... On that note if you can send dave and our family well wishes and prayers we appreciate it .

Daves Recovery Update .

Dave had his 3 week check up he was able to get the rest of the stiches taken out which he is very happy about .... What we are both bummed out about is his doctor is keeping out of work 2 more weeks so he can fully heal up . The doctor does not want the wound to split open because then we have to start all over which would involve more surgery which we don't want that to happen ... so for now Dave will continue to heal so he can get back to his everyday life .... Thanks to some amazing people we were able to cover our Septembers mortgage and truck payment now we have to figure out our mortgage and truck payment for next month the checks i am bringing in is enough to cover the rest of our bills . We have also started receiving medical bills which we will figure that out down the road . We appreciate all the love support and prayers . Love the nelsons ....

Daves Recovery Update : 8-29-2025

So good news and bad news doctor took out a couple stiches but left most of them in until next Thursday just to prevent the toe from splitting open and then having to end up back in the hospital again .. As far as work goes he is out at least another week maybe two so we are working on figuring things out for the next couple weeks hoping everything will continue to heal and get back to the normal ... if anyone has extra time and wants to come visit he would love the visitors to keep his spirits up while he is in recovery ... please keep the prayers and well wishes coming his way we appreciate all the help and love ... Daves Recovery Update : 8-22-2025

Just had the first post op appointment things are looking good he will be getting his stiches out next Friday :) 8-29-2025 . Unfortunately he still has about 1 to 2 weeks before he can return to work medical bills are starting to come in since he has no insurance until October 1st so every little dollar helps we appreciate all the help we have received so far and will also send copies of what the money was used for as far as that goes keep sending the prayers and good vibes our way and if your local and around stop over for a visit it would mean a lot to us thank you so much .

My Husband had to have emergency surgery and have half his toe removed due to a infection which also traveled to the bone and became a dangerous situation he is currently in the hospital recovering from surgery this morning he will be here for 2 to 3 days then he will go home and start his recovery in the mean time he is out of work for 3 weeks with no pay due to no health benefits until October 1st which is a huge damper for our family . Due to him being out of work recovering we need help with medical bills and house bills so we can get Thur this bump in the road that we have been dealt with .
