I hate to be in this position. I left my position at a company that I had worked for nine years due to believing the toxic work environment was making my depression worse. I thought that I would be able to get work in the city where I live without much difficulty. I have a bachelor's in Management and I have an MBA from a local university. I also have years of adult education and training experience that should translate to many different local companies.
Unfortunately, for the past six months, I have kept applying to hundreds of different companies, but I have only been able to get a few different companies to call me back for interviews and every time I interview, I get passed over for unknown reasons.
I have now used every bit of savings that I had accumulated through my 23 years of military service and my 9 years as a contractor supporting the military. Over the next week, I am going to suck up all of my pride and I am going to apply for any opening in the local area. Even a job at minimum wage will bring in more money than I am bringing in right now.
I am hoping to use this money to keep my utilities going until I can get my first pay check from whatever job I am able to get. I never thought I would be in this position, but I will do anything to make sure my family has the support they need.
If you have any questions, please ask and I will try to answer any question you have.
I will try to pay back every dollar of support I receive when I get back onto my feet.
Thank you,
Jeff
