Help us find Sina

Hi, my name is Atena Maleki. On June 14th, my dear brother Sina passed away in a tragic accident on a lake. He was visiting friends in California to celebrate their wedding, and he was so happy to be there. As part of the celebration, a boating trip was organized with the couple, their families, and close friends. It started out as a happy and joyful day filled with swimming, barbecuing, laughing, and enjoying the beauty of nature. However, the day ended in tragedy with Sina suddenly drowning during the final swim stop. Others on the boat tried desperately to save him but could not. Our family and all those who loved Sina are completely heartbroken and devastated by this sudden and tragic loss of Sina.

The search effort for Sina has involved multiple county and state teams in California. Private companies with their expertise and specialized equipment have also been needed. This fundraiser is to help cover the costs of these private companies, and to help pay for his funeral costs. Any funds raised above and beyond will be donated to a charity that assists the families of drowning victims and to help Sina’s family. Thank you so much.
