Help my mom on life support. Fund for her recovery

Hi my name is Katrina and I am starting this fund for my mom, Matty. Some of you may know her most of you won’t but she is my best friend and this pains me to have to ask for help or write.

Thursday night my mom was found unconscious. We think she was unconscious for upwards of 90 minutes before anyone called paramedics. She was rushed to hospital where she has not regained consciousness and has been put on life support. MRI showed multiple strokes in the base of the brain. I’ve been at the hospital for four days so far. She is in a coma on her own and was in an induced coma. Every so often we have tried to take her off sedation and call her name to wake her up and just of recently she’s been trying to open her eyes, even sit up. We need her to follow commands before we think of taking her off ventilator. Her doctor thinks brain damage and the road to recovery will be long. Even so we are all hopeful she will recover. I am asking for help with medical bills and help with the bills of moving her to a rehabilitation and help because I will no longer be able to work to take care of her. Her husband, my step dad passed in 2020 so all she has is me, my little brother and sister. My sister is in college and I am the only one able to be here 24/7. I hate to ask for help but at this point I don’t know what else to do. If any of you know my mom you know how strong resilient and full of life she is, you know she is like a cat with 9 lives and us as her family and close friends strongly believe she will recover with time. You know how kind and giving she is. How big of a heart she has and what an angel she is also. We are taking it hour by hour and day by day. I will be posting updates daily on her progress. I refuse to leave her side. Im playing her favorite music and talking to her and praying for an absolute miracle. If you can’t donate please say a prayer.
