Help Lilly pug fight mast cell cancer

Donation protected

Hello,
Most of you know me by my artist name A-Luna. I’m not usually one to put my personal business out there to the public but this has been a very tough time. Last November of 2022 my pug Lilly was initially diagnosed with stage 2 mast cell tumors where she had to undergo surgery for removal (one of them being next to her eye). A few months after her surgery, her vet at the time was notified of inflammation next to the same eye where she had her removal. For months the same vet had advised me it was most likely her allergies acting up due to scar tissue being there. I was told to just give her Benadryl. I later found out that the vet that performed her initial surgery was on probation with the state medical board. Which basically means she was illegally practicing medical on my dog. They were not thorough with her surgery after care. After seeing a new vet it was advised to me that her eye seemed to be a reoccurring mast cell tumor that needed to be evaluated immediately with her cancer specialist. I was shocked to find this information out and felt betrayed by her vet that did the first surgery. If you know me personally then you know that I am a late diagnosed autistic adult and my pug Lilly means everything to me. She is my ESA dog and my main support system that helps me to get through every day. I couldn’t imagine losing her. I have been struggling due to the cost of living and I am unable to financially provide for all the current medical costs she needs such as bloodwork, sonograms, biopsies, medications etc! I was unable to get the money together for her 2nd surgery which was going to be $13,000. Unfortunately I have not been approved for a large amount in care credit which means her care has to come out of pocket. It has now been over a year since this go fund me has been made and the money raised has gone to her continuous care. Since I could not get her surgery or further cancer treatment because of the costs, I made the difficult decision to have her put on the steroid prednisone which can be harmful to dogs longterm. It was her best chance at keeping the cancer at bay since the cancer could weaken her immune system anyway. She has been on the steroid prednisone since January of 2024. Since then she’s developed urinary infections, gastrointestinal upset, and severe skin infection. This will be an uphill battle but I refuse to give up on her! Lilly still has fight left in her. If you’d like to donate through Venmo or Cashapp that helps too

Lilly is a ray of sunshine to everyone she crosses paths with, she deserves to live a long life. If anyone has the kindness in their heart to donate, both I and Lilly would greatly appreciate the help. Below you will find records of her previous diagnosis/surgery in 2022 & her vet oncologist record when they initially recommended surgery. My personal information has been blocked out for my safety. Updates are posted often on how she is doing.

Below are photos from her first surgery in 2022.

This was her surgery breakdown when they recommended surgery for the 2nd time:
