Cancer Treatment Expenses
Donation protected
On August 8th, Gaylon “Bizzi” Barnett went to the hospital in Northport, AL due to a stubborn cough & persistent fever. After some routine blood work, doctors discovered some discrepancies in his liver enzymes and after several texts, found a golf ball sized mass in it. After his biopsy samples were sent to Ohio & Atlanta, he was told that the tumor was actually softball sized & that there were several other ones. Then he received the hardest news ever: He had a rare form of Stage 4 Lymphoma Cancer.
He was then transferred from the hospital in Tuscaloosa to Birmingham because a specialist was needed & the treatment medications were needed from South Africa & China.
Doctors are optimistic because of the support from medical professionals in China & South Africa, but say that due to treatment, he will be unable to work for at least 4 to 6 months.
For those of you that know him personally, know that he moved to Alabama from Lakeland, FL due to his job at Publix opening a new warehouse here. So unable to work & me having to take time off, our bills are quickly stacking up. Gaylon has always had a heart of gold to help others, but now he needs help while navigating these trying times & far from family. All donations are greatly appreciated and we thank everyone in advance for also sharing this with friends.
God bless.
