Helping Victor, Niki & Noah

Donation protected

Hey everyone, my name is Michelle and I am doing this gofundme for a coworker/friend of mine. Victor and I have worked together for close to 20 years, first 10 years at one job to then being reunited at our current job.

Victor Is one of the hardest working people I know. He’s also been the hugest pain in my ass for 20 years but when it comes down to it he’s a good friggin guy who has stepped up in ways most would have ran from.

When his first son, Will was 7, his mother walked out on them leaving victor to step up and be a single dad which he did and did well. He used to bring Will to work and of course my solution was to stick him in a dog kennel for the day lol but despite the ups and downs of life and being locked in cages Will turned into an amazing young man who I then had the pleasure of working with at Broad River for a few years along with his father.

Victor remarried several years ago to a woman who has an older son and her and victor together then had 2 children, Nikki and Noah who are now 12 and 8.

Over the last few years Victor’s wife has battled major health issues. Hospital after hospital, surgery after surgery and as of a few weeks ago they discovered she has pancreatic cancer.

Now to throw in the double whammy that should just not even be legal or allowed to exist, Will, Victors son who is now 26 was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver a few months ago which then turned into liver cancer and yesterday Victor got the call that Will’s cancer has spread and he may only have a few days to weeks to live.

Being in a situation like this is just unimaginable. Your wife and son (who I’m going to add lives in North Carolina and is hospitalized there) both fighting for their lives while you’re still trying to parent 2 younger children AND still working to support your family. The emotional toll this has got to be taking yet this man still walks around smiling and joking like always.

Still showing up to work when he can despite his world crumbling around him.

Victor is like a brother to me at this point in life. We’ve worked together for so long and have both been there to see what each other has gone through. This right now, what he is going through is heartbreaking beyond words.

What can you do or say to someone who’s going through this? Nothing unfortunately however I’d like to try and raise some money for him and his family. He’s missed so much work already and the medical bills that are piling up and the 2 younger kids he’s got to support, and yesterday now traveling to NC, it’s only right and fair in my eyes to try and take at least some of the financial burden off of him.

So I’m asking you, if you’re able to donate great. Any amount is helpful and no amount is too small. I also ask that if you can’t donate or even if you can, to please please share this link.

Whether you know Victor or not your contribution will be much appreciated and know this, he if the tables were turned would help you.

If you’re able to donate and would rather venmo the money so he gets the entire portion (godundme does take a percentage) you can venmo me @Michelle-Margarita and label it “Victor” I can then get that to him.

It’s a crappy ass world we live in and we all have hard times so let’s try and keep the love we need in this world going right now. Let’s be the good supportive humans we should be and let’s help this man have something helpful happening right now.

Thanks everyone and #FUCKCANCER
