Hurricane Dorian left unprecedented devastation throughout Abaco as it sat stagnant over the Northwest Bahamas on September 1. The days since the storms passing have revealed catastrophic destruction with most homes and businesses destroyed, people battered and lives turned upside down.
So many of us have friends and family here, have vacationed here, and call Abaco a second home and it is now time to give back to the places and people we love who have lost everything and desperately need our help.
As many of you know, Abaco and its people hold a very special place in my family and I’s hearts. So many of my most cherished memories involve time spent with friends and family in Abaco.
100% of your donations will go directly to support the Albury and Sawyer families in Marsh Harbour affected by Hurricane Dorian through purchase of supplies and goods needed for those who will remain in Abaco and to help rebuild the lives, homes, and community we love. Our first shipment of supplies (generators, freezers, extension cords) will go out this week (9/9), and then later deliveries of supplies scheduled for later in the month of September. Funds will be spent directly on cost of those supplies.
Thank you for your willingness to help, it is greatly appreciated.
This campaign was organized by Lauren Pallardy from Tampa, FL who's close friends with the Albury and Sawyer families. Please contact me with any questions (813) 690-5955.I will be drawing out funds to pay for supplies as we deliver the supplies. ... The balance of the funds will go into a personal account and then out to ultimate beneficiaries.
