Dux Nuts is helping one of our long standing staff members , 'Gee', as he and his family deal with the sudden loss of young Tate.
Quote from Gee:
"Hi everybody, it's Gee here, I'm a Dux Nuts quiz host. You may recognise me if you're one of my regulars at Varsity Morley, The Floreat Hotel or Typsy Monk.
On Monday the 19th of April, my son, Tate was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, and early on Wednesday the 21st, less than 48 hours after his diagnosis and only three weeks short of his second birthday, we had to say goodbye. He slipped away peacefully in his mother's arms, and it was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to endure.
I would like to thank Shane and Lee, the managers of Dux Nuts, because they have agreed to set up this collection for charitable donations. These donations are going to be split between three charities. Although I hope none of you ever have to use their services, they are amazing foundations that have been truly helpful in this horrible time.
Red Kite, who provide financial assistance for people in this situation.
Ronald McDonald House, who provide accommodation for parents, so they don't have to be too far from their sick kids.
The Leukaemia Foundation, who are researching this disease in that hopes that one day, no one will ever have to go through what we've been through.
We just want to give back to them in any way possible. Every little helps. Please donate if you can. And please never forget to tell your loved ones that you love them.
Thank you."
