Senseless Crime - Help for Anthony
Donation protected

On Thursday, April 19th, at approximately 4 am in the morning, my son's life was changed forever. Upon returning from work, Anthony was assaulted and shot at point-blank range, in what we believe to be a robbery attempt. Anthony was shot in his head and hand, as he tried to shield himself from the bullets. Anthony's younger brother Michael was also attacked when the shooter returned to the scene to attempt to kill Michael, to silence what he saw when he ran out after hearing the gunshots. I also ran out to see the shooter running away from the scene after leaving one son left for dead in the street, and attempting to silence the other. Neither of my sons knows or have seen this individual prior to this terrible incident. This was not a revenge attack on my sons.
Anthony was taken to a nearby hospital where I was informed that Anthony's situation looked very bleak. By the grace of God, and his mercy, Anthony is on his way to recovery. Anthony has a traumatic brain injury, and with his long hospitalization and rehabilitation, Anthony will most likely not be able to return to his job anytime soon.
Although Anthony is insured, his hospital bills are going to be extensive. Anthony is a family man and a hard worker and is the main source of income for his family. Due to the fact he will need 24-hour care, his wife will also not be able to work.
If you know Anthony, you know that he is a kind and loving person, who goes above and beyond for his family, especially his two boys who are 9 and 3 years of age. He is a go to work and come home type of guy, who loves nothing better than sitting at home, enjoying his family, and playing a round of video games online with his brothers.
With that being said, live and enjoy every precious moment, and let your loved ones know you love them, as your whole life can change in seconds.
We have had a huge outpour of love and support from our community, family, and friends, and we greatly appreciate it!
