ወሎ በጥበብ እና በፍቅር ይታወቃል! ማንም ይሁን ማንነቱ ሳይጠየቅ "ከወዴት ነህ/ ከወዴት ነሽ?" ሳይባል እንደቤተሰብ የሚስተናገድባት ወሎ ችግር ላይ ወድቃለች:: ወገኖቻችን ስቃይ ላይ ናቸው:: በማያውቁትና ባልጠነሰሱት ጦርነት የመከራ እና የግፍ ገፈት ቀማሾች ሆነዋል:: በአሁኑ ሰአት ከሰሜን ወሎ የተለያዩ አካባቢዎች ማለትም ከራያ: ከወልዲያ: ከመርሳ: ከውርጌሳ: ከጎብዬ እና አጎራባች አካባቢዎች ተሰደው: በተከፈተባቸው ጥቃት ምክንያት ከሞቀ ቤታቸው እና ቀያቸው ተፈናቅለው ደሴ ከተማ የተለያዩ ትምህርት ቤቶች ተጠልለው ይገኛሉ:: ቁጥራቸው በአስር ሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ ሲሆን የአካባቢው ማህበረሰብ በሚያደርግላቸው የእለት ድጋፍ ነው ያሉት:: ክረምት ነው:: ብርድ ነው:: ብዙዎቹ ሴቶችና ህፃናት ናቸው:: የአሉበት ሁኔታ የሚያሳዝንና ልብን የሚሰብር ነው:: 

በተለያዩ ክፍለ ዓለማት ተበትነን የምንገኝ ወገኖቻቸው በአካል ተገኝተን በጉልበት መርዳት ባንችልም የአቅማችንን እና የቻልነውን ለመደገፍ ጥረት እያደረግን ነው:: ማንኛውም ሰብአዊነት የሚሰማው ግለሰብ ሁሉ የቻለውን እንዲያግዘን እንጠይቃለን::

የተሰበሰበው ገንዘብ በደሴ በተለያዩ ትምህርት ቤቶች ለተጠለሉ ተፈናቃዮች የእለት ጉርሳቸውን ለመሸፈን ይውላል።

Tens of thousands of people displaced from North Wollo (Raya, Woldiya, Mersa, Wurgessa, Gobiye, and neighboring towns) are sheltering in a number of schools across Dessie town in Ethiopia. Majority of the displaced people are women and children and they’re being cared for by the local community. 

Their current situation is heartbreaking. The rainy season and unbearable cold weather have worsened their condition. Please donate what you can so we can support our brothers and sisters with their daily needs. Please also share with your network so we can reach as many people as possible.

How Donations will be Managed

We have a Team of local volunteers in Dessie who are responsible for needs and assessment and distribution to recipients. Local Team is performing needs assessment through meeting with local authorities, direct observation and  discussions with internally Displaced People (IDPs) and the host communities.

We will use the local team and volunteer groups (e.g. youth groups, Edirs etc) to distribute food and other items to the impacted community. 

Based on the needs assessment so far, the IDPs in Dessie lack many basic necessities, but the top most priority needs observed by the local team are food, clothing, washing and sanitation goods. The needs assessment will be updated as we receive more information.

Funding will be transferred to the local Team in installments. Photo, document, and video records of Money transfer, purchases, and delivery to recipients will be shared to donors (on the Gofundme campaign page). Reports on size of beneficiaries, funding distributed, purchases made etc will be provided to donors.
