I would like to start by giving you a brief background about my brother DERBY REY YAP, 35 y/o with 2 kids Sophie(8yo) and Trigger (5yo), regarding his health condition. 2 years ago was one of the most devastating moments of our lives when he was diagnosed with GBM (Glioblastoma Multiforme) stage 4. He went through surgery, radiation, chemo and countless hospital visits/stays. Chemo therapy worked because it was able to stabilize the growth of the tumor in his head. He also is a Covid19 survivor, and has PE (pulmonary embolism). Unfortunately, around this time last April he was brought to the hospital for severe pain on his hip and back and was diagnosed with a new cancer (rare but possible to have 2 different cancers with different origins) which is Leiomayosarcoma Stage 4 which metastisised all over his body. Since then, he was confined at the St. Luke’s Medical hospital for a month. He’s been doing Chemo therapy and just finished with his second cycle 2 weeks ago. He gets his Chemo Therapy once every 3 weeks which would run for roughly 16 hrs. We got a word from his doctors that finally after a month of staying in the hospital he can finally come home but due to the length of time that he spent in the hospital and numerous tests and procedures done, the hospital bill has gone too high. My siblings and I have been continuously exhausting all of our resources to help him financially, but it’s still not enough sustain his medical needs. Here I am once again knocking on your hearts asking for any assistance that you can extend to cover his medical/chemo bills. My family and I are in dire need of any assistance you can give and it would be a real blessing and will bedeeply appreciated.
