I'm Britt and my best friend is Coryl we have had the most trying past year of our lives, we have had Covid, broken a foot, broken a toe, gotten stitches and it all came to a head when in Januanry 2022 I was rear-ended while stopped at a traffic light by a utility vehicle not paying attention going 55mph. My 9 year old was in the car with me. My car was totaled. I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury, and I have damage to C2 to T1 of my spine with herniated disc's and a pinched spinal cord. Ny recovery has been hell and a long road still with a long way to go. I am not allowed to work and have not been cleared by my doctors. I have applied for every assistance available in the local area in the state and in the nation to no avail, we are still drowning daily. We wake up and don't know what will be thrown at us and on top of all of it we are single moms with no support from our children's fathers. I have no short term memory, I also have 4th nerve palsy which makes me see double and caused me to lose my depth perception, and in top of all my new health issues coryl is a Type 1 diabetic and has been for 32 years and works so hard as the only working person in our home. Sadly her 17 dollar an hour salary won't allow us to get back on our feet. We are severely behind on all of our bills only have one working car because mine was totaled and I was scammed on a junker. We are about to lost our housing because there are no protections and assistance for us. Please help us survive so we don't end up homeless during this difficult process.
