Help Wilkes Elementary Receive Yearbooks
Donation protected
Update: All of our students are getting free yearbooks!!!! We did it!!!! Thank you SO much to everyone who contributed. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone for making this happen. I couldn't have done it without you all!!!!
Hello everyone, my name is Sonya Kaidanov, and I am a school counselor at Wilkes Elementary, a Title I school located in the Reynolds School district. Our school is proud to serve a diverse community of 480 students, many of whom demonstrate remarkable resilience in overcoming challenges to access essential resources and opportunities
I am humbly asking for your support in raising funds for a yearbook. For many of these children, opportunities to create lasting memories can be limited, and a simple keepsake like a yearbook could have a profound impact. A yearbook would not just be a collection of memories — it would be a lasting reminder of their time at Wilkes Elementary, a symbol of their achievements, and an opportunity to feel like they belong, that they matter and that they are proud of their school. Unfortunately, due to limited funding, we’ve never been able to provide yearbooks for our students.
This year, we are working to raise approximately $5,100 to ensure that each of our 480 students can receive a personalized yearbook, free of charge! We are reaching out to local businesses and community members to ask for donations to fund this initiative. Your support will directly impact the lives of our students, providing them with something they may otherwise never have had the opportunity to experience.
Thank you for considering this request. Even if it is $1 or $5, this goes an unbelievably long way. I am forever grateful for any contribution and I am hopeful that I can deliver my students a yearbook. If we happen to go over our goal, these funds will be contributed to next year’s yearbook.
