At two years old, Layla should be chasing sticks, going for long hikes, and just having fun.
But she can’t.
Because while she was sitting in a shelter for a year, Layla damaged her knee, tearing her ACL.
Week after week, month after month, she waited patiently for someone to look at her and say those three magic words: “I want you.”
But prospective adopters came and went. Who wants a dog that requires expensive surgery?
So we pulled Layla out of the shelter and placed her in a foster home. Now, she’s spending her days walking uncomfortably around the yard and watching “Pit Bulls and Parolees.” (Yes, really! Check out the photo!)
We’ve promised this sweet girl that we will fix her knee and find her a Forever Home.
