Hi, my name is Unique Robinson, and I’m a part-time MBA student balancing a full-time job and the joys of being an adoptive single mother. Education has always been a cornerstone of my life and a key to achieving my dreams, not only for myself but for the communities I want to uplift, including my most prized possession, my son.

I’m currently facing a significant challenge: I need to raise $14,738.79 in just 8 days to remain enrolled in my MBA program. After exhausting every available resource, I’m turning to this incredible community for help to keep my dream alive.

• First: My son and I during his participation in a youth leadership program at USC over the summer. Watching him walk the same campus where I am pursuing my dreams was a moment of pride and affirmation—this is why I do what I do.

• Second: My incredible MBA cohort—all 118 of us! This inspiring and driven group of individuals motivates me every day to work harder and dream bigger. Being part of this community has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life.

• Third: The moment I received my acceptance letter to USC Marshall. My best friend surprised me with my first USC sweatshirt to celebrate, marking the beginning of this incredible journey.

These moments are more than just snapshots; they represent milestones in my life and the future I am striving to build. They reflect the support, growth, and determination that have brought me this far, and with your help, I can continue this journey.

The Journey So Far:

Enrolling in USC’s MBA program was one of the proudest moments of my life. It wasn’t easy to get here. Before this program, I faced 348 days of unemployment, which tested my resilience and determination. I’ve since worked hard to rebuild my life, securing a full-time job while managing the demands of being a single mother and a graduate student.

However, despite my best efforts, I’ve been unable to bridge this financial gap. I’ve applied for scholarships, explored loans, and reached out to every available resource. Now, time is running out, I need your help to keep this dream alive.

Why This Matters:

Completing my MBA isn’t just about personal achievement. It’s about setting an example for my child, breaking barriers for women of color, and using my education to give back to others. Staying in this program will open doors for my future and allow me to make a greater impact in the world.
