'Ello mate!
So why should YOU give ME money to go on a trip?
I know it sounds absolutely bonkers. Hear me out.
I am currently studying Communications and Theater at Texas A&M International University. In additions to my university studies, I volunteer my efforts with directing local children's musicals for non-profit theatre groups. I am also the Drama Club Director and Speech Teacher for Mary Help of Christians School.
I've been very privileged to learn theatrical techniques and directing styles from friends, role models, and teachers. I would like to one day be able to teach others as they have taught me.
When I learned of the Shakespeare in England study abroad program, I realized I could further my own studies and simultaneously gain valuable knowledge about the works of the very popular, and often misunderstood, William Shakespeare. Understanding how to interpret, study, and analyze the works of Shakespeare would allow me to pass that knowledge on to my current and future students. Wouldn't that be bloody brilliant?
I am seeking approximately $6,000 in funds to make this trip a reality. This total includes the program cost plus airfare and tuition fees. I am also actively seeking scholarships and grants for this trip and will update accordingly on the status of any received.
My deadline is March 20, 2017. If you have any questions about the trip, donations, or how you could help, please ask!
But WAIT mate! There's more!
Anyone who makes a donation is guaranteed to be on my very exclusive and very ace post card mailing list for this trip! Enticing, I know!
Thank you for your donation, support, social media share, or even just taking the time to read this.
Cheers!
Tony Bondoc
