Get Scrubs & ID Stickers to Frontline NHS workers

Donation protected

At Fitwell we've been busy for for over a month now working 24/7 directly with GP surgeries, hospitals and care homes across Liverpool, Chester and beyond to produce and supply branded sets of scrubs, scrub bags and disposable colour coded role identification stickers completely free of charge.

The NHS saved our Company Directors brothers life last year and this is our way of saying THANK YOU to the Drs and Nurses that are out there every day saving lives.

There is such a lack of PPE equipment with many hospitals reporting huge increases in their consumption. We initially donated what uniforms we had in stock to Oak Springs Care Home, a local care home hit quite hard by the virus and close to home as we have family members working in there. We then made them their own scrubs, to keep the staff safe. We had a 'piece' on the radio and became inundated with orders. We where expecting maybe 200-300 orders, but the requests have far exceeded this. We did not expect this much demand, we have messages/requests coming in daily from GP surgeries, hospital nurses, hospitals and care homes and of course we want to fulfil these desperate, urgent requests.

We have done this up to now using what materials we had in stock, with a donation of materials we received and out of our own pocket. We are running out of materials again. Hence why we set up this GoFundMe asking for help as your donations will enable us to continue to get the materials we need and make more to meet our requests.

We have several hundred more orders to plough through and we urgently need more funds to buy more materials, we have the structure, drivers, sewers, seamstresses in place but we just need more donations to fufill our existing orders and take more to help during this time.

If we have the materials we need, we are able to make 500 scrubs, 1,000 scrub bags and 20,000 of the Role ID Stickers per week. (The role identification stickers help them to easily and quickly identify different people on job roles when in their PPE, which is a vital practice).

Frontline health workers are being advised to change scrubs between every patient. The additional delivery of sets of scrubs and scrub bags will enable the amazing staff who are working long hours and doing an incredible job caring for people and keeping them safe, to have less pressure on the turnaround of washing the clothes they wear to travel to and from work, meaning there is less likelihood of them transferring the virus to and from the workplace to their homes and thus protects both the staff and the patients more, literally saving lives.

We need your help

- To help us buy the materials we need; namely stock for the ID
stickers and fabric for the scrubs.
- Maintain the machinery we use
- Package and deliver items to the hospitals and care homes

Also, if anyone has the skills to help with production from home that would be gratefully appreciated. Whether it be tailors/seamstresses to cut fabric patterns, or machinists, please get in touch. We are touched by the generosity and response we've received. Thank you to everyone that has helped so far and for the donations we have received up to now.

Please help us to get the stickers and essential PPE in to the hands of frontline NHS workers who are risking their lives to save yours.

Working together to get through these challenging times.

Any donation will be a help. Thank you.
