Somebody said, "The people need their music. And how are they gonna get it without the musicians don't bring them some."
Okay, I said it. It's still true.
Problem is, my car's hurricane-flooded transmission ended up not surviving, even after I put all my money in it. And you can't really play in Houston with no car. I've already lost a few gigs because of no transportation. Failed at bringing the people music.
Not to mention crimping my meager musician's income.
The transmission needs a rebuild or a replacement, and it's beyond what I can do.
So now it's last-resort time. I'm asking for your help. If you have a few spare bucks, feel free to donate toward getting me and the music out of the house, where I'm mostly stranded.
No amount is too small. Even five bucks. If 200 people sent five bucks, that would be almost enough. I'm estimating $1[phone redacted] will cover it.
In the near future, I hope to get a copy of a 30-minute live music video of a great band I was in back in the '80s, with a great Texas songwriter. You probably can't find this anywhere, but I'll happily make a copy for each and every one of you that can help. It comes with my overwhelming gratitude.
